If everyone had their talents, they would no longer be misfits, superhumans. It would be a normal phenomena amongst people,so it wouldn't be that special.

Can I be the Hulk now? 15 feet high, green skin and stronger than Arnie after surviving his marriage.

Me like smash things.

"genetic engineering is on the verge (...)" Utter and complete bullshit.

Typical pseudo-scientific media, I have done many classes in genetics as a biologist and while there is rapid progress we are not even REMOTELY CLOSE to UNDERSTAND these workings (especially those of the mind) not even mentioning CONNECTING these to known genes.

knowing a genome brings you no closer to understanding its code. especially in higher organisms DNA is incredibly complex (splicing / splicosomes for example - google is your friend)

just saying. bullcrap.

#6 totally in agreement.

These presenter guys usually like to throw in a bit of speculative crap to exaggerate whatever thing they are presenting.
Any time you here something like ".....are on the verge of...." or "Scientists say that in the future..." or really anything that is overly general, doesnt quote any reference or speaks as though its the authority on some subject letting you know the "facts", its usually complete fabrication.

i didnt like this, selling pieces of these guys in tescos for a few quid isn't a good way forward. Let them be superhumans w/o mad crazy japanese scientists wanting their hide to make their career start.

Geneticists will be part of man's undoing

For anyone who hadn't worked it out, the presenter is the actor who plays Kryton in Red Dwarf 8-)

I've seen far more exceptional people than these. I'm a bit of a superhuman myself. I have a unique talent. My talent is that i have *no* talents whatsoever.

I did think that way to until i found out thats false information.

Yes its true we dont use 100% of the brain all the time, we use some % here and there depends on what were doing but in a full course of a day you have used 100% of your brain.
