I prefer to see a director manipulate real objects for special effects rather than only using computers O:)

They could have made everything green though....
But they would still need the lights and the whole cage to roll them arnound, witch means they would also have to pay extra for the Computer graphics i presume.

@(removed comment) While it is true that C.G. is far and away less expensive that actual effects, there is less sense of awe for the viewer. I believe this is because even though C.G. is able to create vast and beautiful vistas, there is always (the thought when the C.G. is done properly) and more often the visual evidence that the picture on the screen isn't really there (especially with the new Blu-ray players and H.D.T.V.s(see peter jacksons "King Kong";)) . This I feel detracts from the viewing experience and has, with alarmingly increasing regularity given many of our current "Movie Houses" a blank check in terms of apparent laziness to the craft of film making. Sorry for being a long-winded jerk. This video is pretty freakin' sweet.

Great Director. Great Movie. And the fact that they used this kind of technique makes it even more interesting to watch. I can't even imagine how baffled Joseph Gordon-Levitt must have been in the rotating set.

Imagine how easy it would be to paint the ceiling If this was possible with a whole building.

#11 I already said that "they would have to pay extra for the CG."
But they would still need everything else to make it real enough.

I also should say that I wanted to quote #(removed comment) on the 4th comment, but made an mistake.
