The dog wanted to play, the cat wanted to hurt. Look at timecode 1:34, he gets both feet in front of him, lowers his head and partly passes the cat. When he realizes she doesn't want to play his tail goes between his leg and he flees.
Cats are evil. Dogs are stupid.
