The meaning is that:
Everyone who does a good dead for someone else, also gives them a beard (X-mas spirit) which in turn they spread it!
"...gives them a beard (X-mas spirit)..?" Like a flu or some other cold? Poor people and dog! Think of what trouble they're gonna have to keep the beard in cut and groomed order!
....
Of course everyone knows what this is about - X-mas spirit
PS - Still I wonder why the snowman didn't got a beard? To cold or just because he's a dead thing?

I hate when people whine about santa. Since Santa claus is a Coke Cola advertisement. Which Coke Cola is HORRIBLE also, it sickens me people lie about santa.

They're just trying to convey that Christmas Spirit isn't felt. It's shared. And the best Visual reference for teh Christmas Spirit is Santa Claus.
They say a good deed makes you feel like Santa Claus.
