Diesel can run under water and it doesn't matter if the exhaust is under as long as the driver keeps pushing on the gas until the water level got high enough that the truck started to float probably causing the tires to spin which would make the driver let of the accelerator and then flood the exhaust.

4# it doesnt matter if its diesel or petrol, as long as the air intake is above water.if you look at 0:25 the black intake behind the drivers house, thats the air intake. at once that sucks water the trucks will stop.

#10 you are wrong, military trucks uses simple engine that doesn't need electrical parts to run.
As long as the air intake doesn't suck water, it's still running, but if it's suck water at best engine stops, at worth engine breaks because water is incompressible.

For petrol engine you there is also the Delco head that needs to be waterproof
