I read that more and more polar bears are coming down from the Russian Arctic. People think that the melting ice means their hunting grounds are just not able to support them and hunger is forcing them to travel, even into cities.

Remember, there are some very northern towns in Russia. There are a few towns here in Canada that have to deal with polar bears as well. They are incredibly aggressive, maybe the most dangerous land mammal.
