The problem is that there is no motivation for people to improve their computer usage skills and stop doing dumb things.

I say: add "self destruction" feature to every PC in the world and apply that every time a person does dumb things with it, then check their skills in a year! >:)

Lol. it is not hard, but my mom knows how to use , skype, msn, google and outlook now.

but indeed if there was an shiny red autodestruct button on every computer, with a warning label, they would press it and start wondering why it is counting down to zero

I see this all the time, and it drives me nuts. One PC I was working on recently had a desktop link to a Bing search for Google, presumably the user would click on that and then search for Google in Google (as is custom for the technologically challenged), making sure to doubleclick all the hyperlinks for good measure. Can't reform 'em.

#12 Sadly most people dont know it..for those who dont know..it makes google search for your term as single term. When you google John Smith, google finds sites containing "John" and "Smith"..when you google "John Smith"..it only finds sites with "John Smith"

I do not recommend a low amperage and high voltage current be delivered via the keyboard whenever a person makes stupid mistakes on a computer but, it may reduce greatly the problem represented in this cartoon.
