They needed a computer to tell them that if you wake up in a dream you remember it ?? I was told this as a kid by my dad ....its like common knowledge.

Actually, recently Scientists discovered that you can travel faster than light. Because of this. This guy isn't 100% correct on the size Gol Nebula? May actually be larger than they expect.
As im not super smart and im unsure if im 100% correct by what i said. I've posted a link that may explain it better than me.

#8. The test at CERN which provided that data was actually false and has been debunked by many around the world... It had to do with the experiment design and limits of uncertainty... But they do travel pretty quick, about 99.9% the speed of light!!
Looks like Einstein can still stand tall...

My husband is one of the physicists that works at CERN and teaches at University too. The data that came in is in no way the final say. There are too many variables in the experiment that are in question, and it seems that the public is very good at jumping to conclusions. They haven't calibrated if the measurements from CERN site to Italian site made correct measurements in curvature of the earth, movement through objects, tunnels and traffic interference and so on. Just as they had concluded that the start up of the collider would create a black-hole that swallowed up the planet....You must have a better understanding of experimentation and science. Nothing much outside of the standard model has been discovered, and the particles they are now finding are verifying what they have expected to find.

Einstein improved Newton theories, this didn't make Newton smaller.
One day somebody - or a team - will improve Einstein theories, or find better theories explaining better the universe. This will not make Einstein smaller.
I admire Einstein and I hope somebody will make something greater than he does, it's not incompatible.
Einstein was also very kind in the real life, a model we can follow even we are not genius in Physics!
About the video, many scientists made discoveries, finding conclusions about their hard work while dreaming...

#10 Kudos to your husband. Really interesting stuff. Though I am a biologist many of my friends are physicists and they were having lots of fun discussing the subject.
#9 Nothing has been debunked as the cause of this anomly is unknown yet. if you want to keep track of scientific news, steer clear of news pages and use Isi web of knowledge and the like

Of the very thousands of websites you choose this one to utter your thoughts. I hope I'm either very far from you or very far from a dream machine (Inception)!

#13 Agreed. HArdly ever get my news from mainstream media. I saw youre a biologist, I'm a geophysicist - i think we'd have the same view on a lot of the news that gets shoved down peoples throats. I read the technical paper from CERN and a few others that had been released in criticism of the findings and just like # 10 mentioned, the timing of the machines and calibrations were under scrutiny... Also, I read in another paper that the neutrinos were created from a beam of protons and that the specific point along the beam at which the neutrinos were created can not be determined and therefore that provides some experimental error akin to the 6billionths of a second faster than light that they were clocked travelling...
