Give this captain a medal ! pure skills. I know they are beeing trained for these things but doing it in a simulator is slightly different than the real thing so to say.

This is no different from any other landing. The pilot need do nothing out of the ordinary.What is it you think he did that any student pilot could or wouldn't have done? Landing is landing. There are not multiple ways to do it. You slow air speed to just above stall touch down rear wheels first apply brakes and set down the nose then reverse engine thrust. The only difference here is the nose drops more that normal and to compensate you nothing unusual what so ever.

#8 I'd like too see your face if you were sitting in a plane and its pilot announced that you will be landing without gear.. Just act casually and go order another drink.

#2 That was real lucky no landing gear at all the wings are full of fuel or if emptied and when empty the most explosive that is one skillful pilot

man with the tires on landing is rough, how did it feel inside the plane, I hope I'd never experience that

#10 they flew around the airport for over an hour before landing, to make sure there was pratically no fuel in the plane.

With shit aircraft maintanence, the logical step would be to have epic pilots!
Still, that was some skills put into play there. Never seen a smoother "crash landing!"

Actually #(removed comment) is not that far off, to quotes from #7 article: "Iran has one of the worst air safety records of any country. Earlier this year, another Boeing 727 belonging to Iran Air travelling the internal route from Tehran to the city of Urmia crashed when coming into land in bad weather, killing 77 people." So yes apparently Iran Air sucks ass.
