Pottery offends me so I always destroy every pot I see... My drug addicted friends are really pissed about that...
What he said about being offended was funny but oh so true! No one has a "right" to not be offended. It's part of life, grow up or continue to cry and be an annoyance to everyone else.

Oh how this guy echoes my own thoughts on 'offence'. He's absolutely right of course, but isn't it astonishing how many people will leap at any opportunity to be offended by just about anything? It happens everywhere. It even happens here, on SNOTR. If I type the word 'fuck' like that, or 'cunt', instead of 'f**k, or c**t, then there'll be a barrage of complaints from people who are offended.
Oh, the irony of seeing this on Snotr where criticizing religion is explicitly forbidden! What? we might offend somebody?

#6 Its not about offending someone. We just dont want big debattes about religions and politics, since the pasts shows it simply ends up in an endless comment flamewar wich at the end got nothing to do with the actual video itself anymore. You can see that on youtube everyday..there is a disney movie with german dub..what are the comments about? WW2.
the anger about being offended isnt caused by the "pain" you feel about it.
i think its more related to some idiot, walking around and feeling good about making other people feeling bad.
great act though
#6 He's not British, he's Australian but he is on a British show. I'll try to submit some more if I find anything good enough. ![]()
#7 I fully understand that and I agree that most forum discussions on that topic are unproductive. What makes me cringe is the idea that I shouldn't upload a video where Richard Dawkins eloquently expresses his views on religion. It seems to me that this excludes a big chunk of "interesting" videos from Snotr.

#10 Sadly in case of religion it is a really thin line between a comedian and scientific guys. I for myself am an atheist but i respect everyone who believes in something..its not my business.
Just on snotr we try to keep it on a minimum to argue about religion. Else we could also post Zeitgeist stuff..wich will bring up another big debate too. We avoid most religion/political stuff but when a comedian mention it..what should we do if the rest of the act is funny. We only try then to not make people to fight about nonsense in the comments then =)

#11 Still this sounds more like a problem with comment moderation than with the content itself, so it seems a bit backwards to put restrictions on the content... And no, I do not have the perfect solution either.

Offended ? Not at all by this guy. The only problem here is Micheal Mcintyre keeps on spoonfeeding us his diarea on his road show. Maybe the worst stand up of all time. Steve Hughes on the other hand, rocks. Also Jimmy Carr.
