#2 is correct, if you have enough power to overcome bad Aerodynamics the car will be fast, but there is no guarantee an old brick shaped volvo will be stable at high speed hence the short race distance

The Amazon unmodified maxes out at around 140km/h, damn fast car considering how old it is. One of my favorite models. :D
