I've been a vegetarian all my life so I've never eaten crab.

Now I'm thinking I could maybe snip off just a claw at a time from a few and leave them to regrow. It would be like foraging, as long as they don't feel much pain.

Brave crab. I didn't know they could regenerate their claws though... why can't humans do such cool things yet? I wish we could grow new teeth like the alligators do too, just one of many useful features of them other creatures.
