Wind turbines. They are as ugly as shit. They cost more to make than the electricity they generate. When the wind doesn't blow, there's no power anyway, and if the wind is too strong, they have to be switched off.

I bet some people would believe that one wind turbine can generate as much as a nuclear plant

Removing man-made monsters so all can see Nature unfettered beyond the debris makes the most sense to me.

#10: chernobyl was purely a human ignorance disaster. Any similar could happen in any rafinery, chemical plan, bio-lab, etc. where dangerous stuff is kept and security rules not obeyed. There is no other option than nuclear energy till cold fusion will be feasible to power the generators...

fyi - There seems to be a misconception that a cooling tower means a nuke plant...not so. Cooling towers are used in both coal fired and nuke fired plants. Like smoke stacks they are required by the EPA...they cool the water before putting it back in the river.
