24 million people on the brink of dying from hunger, without any access to the outside world, having no idea what "Take on me" or, for that matter, any other piece of western culture is. 5 people not giving a shit, playing cheerfully their accordions.

#6 You know, people are sent to concentration camps over there for listening to non-North Korean radio stations. My question is: How come these handsome, cheerful folks, who "try to live a normal life" are not in a concentration camp for even knowing what "Take on me" is? Or maybe they are just government tools and this is just a piece of North Korean propaganda that says: " Look, Look! We have a normal life over here too!"?
P.S. Not to mention there is no internet in there, so the video couldn't get posted unless it was government-approved...

#7 that's in fact not true, you exaggerate speculations on what's going on over there since nobody really knows what's going on...
If you watch the vice guide to north korea you will see that things haven't got to that level of strictness over there.

At one point this guy sings "Anarchy in the UK" at a karaoke machine

#7 Is right about the situation in North Korea. These musicians are government employees ,probably army, and do not represent the life of most all of the rest of the population. Stunts like this are put on to bolster the lie that everything is OK in that communist country. Starvation, torture and slave labor is what most N.Koreans suffer under. Videos of the real life in N.Korea are not allowed to be seen by outsiders.

You can go to North Korea on holiday now...
I found there official Site.:
I pulled this off there site. Kind of makes me laugh
The DPR of Korea North Korea will become in the next years the most important hub for trading in North-East Asia.
Lowest labour cost in Asia. (no shit, Slave Labor will do that to you.)
Highly qualified, loyal and motivated personnel. Education, housing and health service is provided free to all citizens. As opposed to other Asian countries, worker's will not abandon their positions for higher salaries once they are trained. (Slave Labor will help with that!)
Lowest taxes scheme in Asia. Especially for high-tech factories. Typical tax exemption for the first two years. (helps to have Slave Labor)
No middle agents. All business made directly with the government, state-owned companies. No middle agents. (REALLLY?)
Stable. A government with solid security and very stable political system, without corruption.
Full diplomatic relations with most EU members and rest of countries. (unlikely)
New market. Many areas of business and exclusive distribution of products sole-distribution.
Transparant legal work. Legal procedures, intellectual rights, patents and warranties for investors settled.

I don't appreciate the direction of the conversation, it is too political for my taste. I think the uploader wants us to talk music instead. Nice to see new arrangements for classicals.

#9 So I watched the video you referenced which is just the first part of a seven part series. You should watch all seven like I just did because it shows just how horrible conditions are in N.Korea. They even send slave labor to Siberia for up to ten years to work as loggers in the vast Siberian forests where conditions are very bad and food and shelter are in short supply.
Thanks for making my point about N.Korea.

Started off a bit jumpy but it got better and better. First time I see Asians playing accordions too btw... I thought that was completely European.
