wouldnt the thief just grab the case and run therefore not really aiming for the handle just the case in general so therefore he would just drop it cuz his hand wouldnt be stuck

with 20-20 hindsight we can be pretty sure this didn't sell very well. At least, I've never heard of an account were such a boobytrapped bag was a success.

And just imagine standing in a full bus with this and accidentally triggering the safety mechanism.
