Intel i7-3960X FTW! No liquid cooling required and 6 *REAL* cores..... not 4 wannabe cores like AMD.

#3 It Looks like they broke another record as they managed to get the liquid nitrogen to freeze by pouring it onto a blisteringly hot processor (nitrogen is a liquid between -196 and -210 degrees C, it freezes to a solid at lower temp than -210 degrees C, they were registering -225 degrees C) >:)

my old intel core 2 Duo E4500 ( 2.20 ghz ) could work fine with no cooler at all, reaching only 50c :D
but that is intel :D

#8, the -225 reading was after they switched to Helium for cooling. they were getting -184 using Nitrogen.

Great Work AMD ! But in all honesty its kinda crap just getting a cpu-z My 640 Athlon runs stable at 3.8ghz from 3ghz but over that its fine to start windows but applications that are cpu intensive just crash and the machine becomes unstable.

Overclocking is fine but there's a huge difference between starting cpuz and a program that actually needs to do calculations.

One day, our cpu's will arrive packaged with stocked liquid nitrogen, instead of a stock fan.

Hmmm that'd be fun, imagine the games :D

ok do i have to have a nitrogen and helium to sustain the coolness of my processor to achieve 8.429 GHz :D hmm just to run windows :D naaaaaaah ill stick with what i have its less painful :)
