#9 No it wasn't. You can clearly see the cable was attached to the rear bumper. The actual tow mount points are further in below the car.

#10 I may be mistaken, but I really think that the thing he touches with his foot at 2:18 is the tow mount (and some part of the frame).
On lot of cars, the tow mount goes through the bumper (which wouldn't have resisted 1 second to the 4x4 pulling it).
