Japanese lunchboxes.
Wouldn't we all want to have these kind of lunchboxes.

Is it me or this is just horribly disgusting wasting all the time on something of no value or importance and to top it off it creates a sense of entitlement on the children.

The definition of art is not what it used to be. Good work and, I hope, good nutrition.

#3 and #4 You two just don't get it do you? Japanese society sees food as more than just something to eat, it's supposed to look good too. Bento boxes are not just made for the kids, they are made for adults as well.
Culinary art is not a "disgusting waste of time" if those that eat it both appreciate the effort put into it and enjoy the meal itself.

I absolutely love everything about Japan... If a meteor hits France, I would forget about it the next minute, if it hit Russia, I would look for alternatives to natural gas, if it hit the USA I would store all the movies I can... but if it hit Japan...I... I would kill myself!

Ok. Listen to this - try to look at tase to tasty the same as looks(adds) to tasty. Like #7 said - hope nutritious. Shining example.
#4 - well remember that there is not much else entitelment - for non-Japanese -- disfuncional entitelment agree.

Not to mention http://internet-filter-review.toptenreviews.com/internet-pornography-statistics.html
as well as their freakishly low birth rates and suicide rates.

Preparing the next generation of well trained consumers, but at least it's cute.

Pretty, but a little extreme. The Moms need to chill, taking pressure and competition too serious.
