#6 You cannot calculate the distance using the same technique as for lightning/thunder if you don't know the exact speed. Here it was a detonation of a liquid "explosive" (oil) and the speed of the shock wave could be subsonic or supersonic in this case (more or less than 340m/s).
The noise that we hear in the video is not the sound produced by the explosion but the shock wave itself traveling. Usually, you feel 2 things right after an explosion: the "boom" (audible sound) and the shock wave (sudden pressure variation).
