The story wasn't all that good, but I see why it won. The style the artists use it quite interesting, those weird circles and lines you see during the animation are actually what animators use as guides for the final drawing, usually these are in very light pencil and removed, this artist emphasizes them and uses them as part of the animation style. Very nice.
