When I first got one of my cats, Calvin (yes I also had Hobbes for 14 years and still have Susie Derkins) over 18 years ago, he was the last cat to look at that day. When I opened the cage he came straight to me while I crouched down. He jumped up onto my shoulders and laid himself down, purring in my ear. Told the shelter assistant that this one was coming with me! She should do the same. If the cat is that comfortable with her, it's for a reason.
