I had the opportunity to shake the hand of one of the survivors of the Andes crash at a rugby match about 2 years ago.

Nr. 8
After loosing proviant they both began to eat their huskies and made a mistake. They eat the dogs liver which was full of A vitamin and poisened them selfs with it. That was the reason why Douglas companion died. Such fact at that time was not know, that A vitamin in big amounts is poison.

The fact that whoever made the video did not spellcheck and used "brake" instead of "break" makes me question how well they did their research on survivor stories. It's more likely that these are just the top 10 survival stories of google searches. I'm sure there are less well-known stories out there.

#11 I was thinking the same... this is just someone who likes making videos... and is trying to (or IS) making some money from youtube. He has nearly 5 Million video views since he started 2 years ago.
http://www.youtube.com/user/alltime10s/videos?sort=da&view=0&page=8

I doubt he spent much time researching at all.. maybe just found that list somewhere. Narration would have made it much better... and some kind of table at the bottom right with the survivors name/age/days survived/how far/etc whilst the main text/narration was their story. If he produced his videos better he could be making much more money!!

check out http://socialtimes.com/money-youtube-partners_b21335 to see how much money some people make per year... (these figures are from 2010)

1. Shane Dawson – $315,000
2. The Annoying Orange – $288,000
3. Phillip DeFranco – $181,000
4. Ryan Higa – $151,00
5. Fred – $146,000

#11 and #12 I don't know how you would manage to compile a top 10 of survival stories without including many of the best known ones (i.e. the ones you'd find in a Google search). The source of each story is given on the video. I recognize about half of them, the others look worth researching.
