Car crashes, epic FAILS, cute critters etc etc are necessary diversions but it is nice every so often to end a video more informed than when you started. Thanks for the physics lesson.

Ill explain it in a simple way
imagine a newspaper page, with photos, words, numbers, drawings ect.
well, the photos words numbers and all that filling is the matter we know till today (matter and energy), and all what's left is the blank page. NOW the blank paper is the higgs boson.

there is no such thing as "Empty" even the empty of empties is filled with higgs boson, that's what constitute the spacetime you can interract with.

now the tricky part is mass, why gravity is gravity. it's because the higgs boson interracts differently with matter and energy, for example photons have less "friction" with higgs boson thats why they slip through and that's why photons have the speed know as (the speed of light).
However there is more "friction" with matter, especially particles, that's why matter cant travel at the speed of light, Unless it becomes energy again.

and yes, if you can control the friction between higgs and matter, you can travel at the speed of light without transforming to energy (without dying)
