It's unanswered because it's stupid... Things happened before humans where around to observe them and things will happen after we are gone.

I can't see little Timmy getting his hair cut in Cleveland, does that mean he never cut his hair? or is someone else observing Timmy getting his hair cut? but that's irrelevant since I'm not observing the person observing Timmy....see... stupid

But is the cat actually in the bunker after you close the door? You put the cat in the bunker therfore you are both cruel and a scientist. Then you close the door. Just because you know of no exit for the cat except for the bunker door, doesnt mean that the cat does'nt know of another exit or that a quantum exit doesn't appear as your door closes. As we know, when one door closes another one opens. Quantum physics must allow for a string variation and a time shift pattern to exist for at least a fraction of a second linking the known universe to billions of other universes where the cat would not only live,die,evolve,speak,write,urinate and poo. He or she would also break down the explosive device into its componant atoms and build a model of the white house including a talking president and first lady. This is not a simple yes no situation, you must agree!

Let's put the cat in the bunker,light the fuse on the keg of gunpowder,close the door,and remove all this speculation about whether the cat goes bye-bye or not.
