Plane crash video from inside cockpit
warning - not for people that cant see blood
This is unprecedented footage of a small airplane crash from inside the cockpit from two different views. Miraculously, everyone survived.
The pilot will make a full recovery and the rest of us escaped with superficial injuries and feel very lucky to be alive . This trip was much anticipated and due to our excitement we had our Gopro cameras filming at various times. After flying up into the mountains for a hike in the Frank Church River of No Return Wilderness we were planning on flying to a small mountain town for dinner. Due to warming temperatures we had a hard time gaining altitude. After taking off we hit an air pocket that made us rapidly loose altitude, pushing us down into the trees.

I prefer Camera one, at least he got a longer ride before the trees jumped him. Where were all the traditional "Oh Fack's" and "AWWWW we're gonna die's" I think this near death crash was staged, probably an insurance scam lol ![]()
4 guys in such a small plane? it looks like it had tough time taking off anyway, not taking the poor conditions into consideration ![]()

His last words would be: "Ooouuu" And there are still people who complain about unrealistic movies.

If they were flying any faster and higher, they probably were not able to upload the video themself.
#8 if they were flying any faster and higher, the airpocket wouldn't have been a problem and neither would the 'gaining altitude' part be.
The pilot in this is totally at fault, Im not sure if it was the heat or the altitude, but it was obvious from the get go that the plane was probably overloaded judging from the length the take off needed. Small planes shouldn't need that much room to take off.
#9 exactly what i thought . Not to clever from the pilot , taking into consideration the weather and the payload
Maybe if they tried flying this wouldn't have happened. They took off and never tried to get elevation.
#10 The length needed to take off can be directly affected by heat and altitude which both effect air density. Obviously less dense air makes for a longer take off run. The pilot probably knew he was carrying a heavy load and took the warm conditions into consideration but wasn't expecting a pocket like that. In the video it appears the conditions were marginal and he probably shouldn't have flown, but it isn't entirely pilot error.
Is it just me to notice, #6:23 just as the first tree was hit, the camera swings to the pilot and he is not holding the controls but has a iPad in his hands???
