Like listening any other language. The words best understood are the ones used for cursing and so.

This is EXACTLY what my fake English sounded like when I was a kid and pretended to know lyrics to songs :P

#9 i heard that too, does that mean something? is this some sort of social experiment where they see if you pick up on certain phrases?

That is exactly how I feel when I hear english language. I know many languages, but English speach is the hardest to understand. I need to focus very much. Non native speakers I understand a lot better. English language is so foggy, ryming, with funny spelling competitions. The hardest part is to understand songs, if I am really singing right my favorite songs :D You have to look into lyrics. Sometimes you swear I hear a word like ''family'', but in lyrics it is ''memory'' and in other lyrics it is again ''family'' (which makes me thing the English people have same issues). And I wont talk about rap and hip hop songs . . .

Wow this is genius... Obviously all of you who voted down don't speak a different language, English is my second language and this is exactly how I remember English sounding when I was a little kid... Love the video.

#1 According to the rest of the world, the problem with you is that you are a United States citizen and speak English.

c'est la vie

#19 Sorry but the guy and girl in this vid are Aussies, not American. The whole production is Australian too.
They are speaking what is known as gibberish, not really any language.
