It is sad that all zebras will be eaten in some time of their life. Kudos on top1 human killer of wild life of africa to help one thou. I wish that I could be rewpawned as a rock, so there would be noone gnarling my body/remains.

most animals ( us too ) recognize a young one of other species. as the cheetah saved the baby baboon, the gorila saved the young boy at the zoo, now a hippo saves a zebra.

Um, I'm pretty sure he was tasting him; hippos are picky eaters.

I kept expecting to see the crocs show up and add to the excitement.

Just speculating, but perhaps the hippo lost a pup and is acting maternally towards other animals because of that?
