If the stair system failed it was in kind of a free fall so a stop button probably wouldn't do anything unless it caused a mechanical break to the stairs. Look at how many people were on the stairs! I guess they are use to riding the subway. Here in the states, most people like their space so you would get only 1 person per step on the average. Example 2 people on ever other step. I don't know what it is like in the big cities and even during heavy shopping times I don't think the stairs would get overloaded. I wonder if clothes got caught in the gap at the bottom of the stairs or pinched were the steps laid flat on the bottom of the stairs.

Big bombs are old technologies. Unless some radical country from the east or a small group decides to make a point, we do not need to worry about an atomic event. The world powers believe in the soft approach to reduce the population and control whoever is left. They are weakening our minds and societies then convince us to let them do whatever they want. Divide and conquer is the plan.

Wow! He was good until the last couple of seconds. He was on his toes. Years ago, my daughter and I were flying into a small airport in northern California. Small plane, DC9. We were "crabbing it" also in a steady cross wind. I am sitting in a window set over the wing and I am looking right down the runway. I remember grabbing my daughter and told her to brace herself and be ready for a big bump (thinking crash). As the ground came up and just before we hit, the pilot straighten the plane on the runway and let it hit. I took the time to thank the pilot. All he camly said was "No gusting, no problem."

Was there 5 of them when they started out? I think I would think twice before walking that trail. In my younger day, I used to hike some pretty rough places. You know, because it was there! When you are young, the thrill is sometimes worth the chance.

I have seen the results of some crazy driving here in the states. I know we have had a number of accidents that involve fog and over 100 cars. Sometimes we humans just make stupid mistakes. It happens all over. Cities are the worse. Defensive drive is the key!

#9 You are right about it being stupid. Your example and others such as soccer or football games show how people get worked up to the point that they can self destruct. I think the stair thing was unexpected and as #7 said, it was a shocking moment and some people could not think under the circumstances. I know some people that go to certain events just to see the turmoil. I have seen the clips where people tell someone that is ready to jump from a building, "Jump Jump Do it man! Jump". I really have no idea what some people are thinking. I would say it is due to our times, but then I think about the Roman gladiator games. People went to see those things like we go to see sports events now. Makes you wonder, was the drinks and hot dogs over priced then too?

It looks like the police were not too close, just following at a distance. When the car was along side of the bus (after the hit on the red car) it looked like the chase was over since he was between the bus and the black SUV. The cop was off his bike and setting it on the stand when the guy backed up at full steam.
The cop that chased the SUV driver probably only responded to a guy running from the scene since he could have been from the passenger side of the card being chased.
I think the cops did okay. I know if it where me, on principal, I would have shot him a couple times more will he was still in the seat. The extract might have been a little easier then anyway,

#(removed comment) You are right about the global warming.
I would like to understand what they are doing with our food supply and all of the spraying (chemtrails). Here in Ohio, we get sprayed about every day. Day or night, clear or overcast, they are spraying. A list of reasons can be found and who knows which ones apply. It is world wide also.
Like I said in #10, the ones in control will take the softer approach. A war here and there keeps things worked up and keeps us distracted while they break us down into groups that soon can not agree on anything. I think it was one of the old Marks Brother movies were the brothers went to a party of tightly knit freiends and relatives, and after a few mintues of simple comments, they left with everyone yelling at each other over little unimportant issues.

20. JJCBigfoot commented 13 years ago on video Why work doesn't happen at work.
I guess he has never managed a company or a project. He seems to think that the business world revolves around the individual and their little perspective. Management is managing time and information in a manner to keep all activities moving along. I guess an orchestra does not need to practice and work together. And why do they need a conducter?
Unless your job is well defined and limited in impacts to other activities you have to communicate. If things are that mechanical, it may be a job for a robot. That way the job will get done with no problems or disruptions. That robot would also not bother the other robots and maybe help them do a better job with supporting experiences or ideas. "Not my job!"
People need to meet face to face when discussing situations. You learn a lot by watching facial and body movements. I love you means more when it is said face to face even though the IM or email says it.
Again, if your job is mechanical, interaction is not as important. Have you called a help line to solve some problem that you have and been frustrated with the experience? Why is it that many times the person you talk to does not seem to grasp your problem? They have a script that they follow. Your problem has to fit their predetermined template. Don't you dare have a problem that doen't fit their solution!
This guy needs to go to some mountain top and think about it some more.

23. JJCBigfoot commented 14 years ago on video Let's wait for the train to cross
Must have been in state where the can make a straight and flat run. I believe there where 10 locomotives moving that train. They are staged in smaller trains and then linked for the big run. I don't know the speed, but in Ohio, because of the crossings and small towns their speed is not as fast nor as long. Some years ago when traveling west on vacation, we saw a long train running parallel to the highway. I had the kids count the cars. 420 cars long and it was traveling at 55 mph. We were traveling around 60 mph.

26. JJCBigfoot commented 13 years ago on video Why work doesn't happen at work.
#12 I understand what you are saying. It still depends on what work means. As I briefly tried to explain above, it depends on the work tasks. If your primary task is routine in nature, meetings can be a waste of time. If the process of your job is stable, does not change, and is as efficient as is possible not much need to talk about it. However many jobs deal with a dynamic world where knowledge is key to success. Some jobs require understanding subtle changes or responding to current events or situations. I guess the talk did not seem like it had a team build feel to me. We need more controlled interaction and I know from 32 years of consulting in a wide range of industries and companies that most people are not disciplined enough to keep moving when working alone and miss out on the pulse of the company operation.

This is great!! These clowns will give the government a reason to put some restriction on these bikes so every body will suffer. They could say if the bike engine size is more than this amount, you pay an extra fee on the registration. Maybe a governer would be required. Maybe a speeding ticket on a bike would require jail time. I have been thinking that a remote shut off (or rpm reducer) is possiblle on all vehicles to stop all high speed chases. These people need to get a computer game to play with.

Interesting! I wonder at what point gas prices will hit highs and for how long before we need to go to personal transportation (voluntary or required). With all of the crazy regulations and moral laws being considered (green stuff), big cities may not outlaw, but tax those extreme luxuaries such as cars.
Look at the variety of people. Some had 3 people on the scooters. Interesting I did not see any helmets.

#4 and #5) I was being sarcastic!!! I was just tired of people putting others down (#1). This guy's job is more than that. If that is the best way to do the job and it is easier to do, good for him for doing it.
#4) I know chill!! How is #1 going to learn that his concern is stupid.
I just see so many people putting others down or critsizing others when others are just doing their job. I think I would do it the same way he did. It made sense.
