I don't blame these people. When I was a child in the US we didn't use seatbelts or car seats. My mom was scared to death we'd open the car door and fall out, because it happened sometimes. Also, consider this: when people have their child in a safety seat in the back of the car, and the child falls asleep while the parent is going to work, children have been forgotten and they've baked to death in the car. I think that's worse. There's just always a lot of danger in this world.
