If guns were not available to the public, but only to army and police and other "authoritarian institutions", then less people would get hurt by guns.

Nice video And I think the comparisons of humans' priorities being f'd up because they help a dog rather than a human are absurd. It is not that they "like animals more than humans", it is that a good person with a vision and love for animals started her/his dream of a foundation that helps animals. That person raises funds and helps animals using its spare time. People contributing back for a greater purpose than themselves. If you would rather see a human get their vision back, well... how about doing something so that one day you can be proud to say " I helped a human get his/her vision back" instead of comparing it to the helping work of others.
