He could easily have avoided that if he'd used a much shorter pole.

But I saw it coming a mile away.

#11. I only watched 5% of the vid, so my comment was 95% shorter than it would have been otherwise.

I stopped the vid after reading the breathtaking, first and obviously false China statistic. Utter rubbish.

And at the precise moment that it all starts to go pear-shaped (become interesting), we get a great shot of...... grass and feet. Great camera work there.

#30. My last b/f used to make his neighbour's cat dance by pouring lighter fluid on it's paws and then setting light to it.
I dumped him.

Can you run that one by me again?
There are 10x as many minutes of nothing in every episode, and you reckon that makes it a great show????

#24:
a) The cat's tail is obviously starched.
b) It's belt is held up to the ceiling by fishing line.
c) You don't have a sense of humour.
You're not really commenting, you're just picking at everyone else's legitimate comments. Seriously, Isaac Newton first did this trick with a tree and an apple. Obviously, at the time, he couldn't upload it to SNOTR, because he was only on 56k dial-up.
Oh, and for some insight into why I'm not interested in your opinion of my comments, go here:

The cat isn't really standing. This effect was achieved very simply by bolting the bed, table, and TV to the ceiling, then securing the cat's feet and allowing it to hang upside down. The resulting video was then simply inverted too. I once did a similar trick using a kangaroo and a banjo.

"Why are you winding the window down?"
"Because I'm a know-all twit who thinks that this will equalize the pressure inside the car, when in actual fact what it will really do is enable the partly open window to shatter more easily, and thus shower us with broken glass."

To prevent this happening in the future, the ball should contain 1Kg of dynamite which is automatically detonated at the precise moment that the game ends.

#17. It's possible that I didn't explain myself too well, so I'll give it one more shot shall I?
Take a look at what you wrote in your previous comment:
"we understand you dont like that, but when all u can do is say that u find it lame while the vid is cool, u can skip ur comment..."
Now try to grasp the concept that we are all entitled to our opinions, and entitled to not be intimidated into changing our views or modifying our behaviour to fit in with someone else's subjective view of things.
This is why I reacted the way I did to your attempt to prevent me from making my own comments, simply because they did not agree with your own.
It's possible that you have fallen into the trap that many people do on forums, most especially the ones who have been posting for a considerable time. Such people often believe that gives them some kind of special status, allowing them to make sweeping generalisations concerning the posts of newbies.
I think you may well have fallen into this kind of trap. But I just thought you might like to know that I don't think you deserve any special respect simply because you registered here a number of years before myself, and I shall certainly continue to post my comments as I see fit, with no thought whatsoever of whether or not you think I should.
Consider these points then Reaperdaddy, and then reflect on whether your last reply was a mature one, or the knee-jerk reply of a spoilt child who is not getting his way.
Oh, and do please, have fun.

#15. Thanks for the advice Reaperdaddy. But here's the thing: I submit my comments based on my view of the video in question. If you don't like that, it's unfortunate, but I'm sure you'll get used to the idea of people having and expressing different opinions to yourself, if you give it a bit of thought.
You see, I understand that you and others feel compelled to scribble "Awesome!!!!!" at every video you see, especially the ones with big boys on little childrens' bikes, but that's OK by me. I'm perfectly comfortable with you almost wetting yourself with excitement over lame videos which you believe to be extremely cool. In any event, I expect you'll grow out of it as you mature.

#11. You won't, because this technology doesn't scale. This is the reason you don't see commercial airliners driven by huge rubber bands, and express trains with wind-up mechanisms.

There's a serious side to this. She already has a perfectly good phone. Millions of people do. But every day, millions of people fall prey to an industry dedicated to making them believe that their phone isn't good enough any more. How else, in a saturated market, would the phone companies be able to continue to sell more phones.
My phone is several years old, cost a fraction of an i-Phone, and is perfect!

Isn't it interesting, how very clever camera work, can make even the most mundane and boring events (adults riding downhill on little children's bikes) look quite exciting?

That's a childish thing to say msavio008. I admire skillful people. My father is an engineer, he's collaborated on huge projects in our country. My mother is dead now, but she was an architect, my boyfriend is a student of medicine; he plans to become a surgeon specialising in heart surgery. I am a computer programmer. All these are useful skills which can bring benefit to the community and society in general.
Hopping around on a little child's bike somehow doesn't fall into that same category.

Somehow, I don't think that all boys who play on their little bikes like this, are going to win tournaments in the future, become rich and take their pick from the girls, but I guess that's what a lot of them believe, and that is really funny.
Yeah, my bf has an X-box (and so do I), but he also has a brain and has a great career ahead of him.
Oh, and as for me 'doing it wrong'.... really? Well.... that's not what my bf says.

Little boys on bikes might be entertaining. Big boys on little bikes just look stupid. It's about time they discovered girls, then they'd put their toys away.

Odd thing having a child with a grown-up posh voice. Funny? I don't think so.
+1 1. Marmalade commented 14 years ago on video Copy machines, a security risk?
Overwriting with new data usually random strings of '0' and '1' is better, but even this approach can lead the unwary into a false sense of security, since the tolerances on disk writing are relatively high, meaning writes can be carried out on marginally adjacent tracks, thus leaving the original data intact, and readable by specialist disk recovery software.
Multiple passes of random data writes finally provides an acceptable level of security, but just think how long this would take on a 1TB drive?
This is my last post on SNOTR. Thanks for entertaining me for the past couple of weeks. I'm fit enough to leave hospital now, and work beckons.
Adios.
