I live in Britain and I’m not suggesting there isn’t an issue that needs to be dealt with. This is more about the attention this is getting. I would argue that the level of effort going into tackling this is massively more damaging than the issue itself.

Yes. Key concern is that looking at the last 10 pages of videos, they have all been uploaded by about 10 users. with 5 users accounting for probably 80% of the content. The site has basically become a place where 5 mates chat and a few others get involved every now and then.

I work in IT within the advertising industry but even with the know how, I'm not sure I can justify that reserve price. It's probably worth more like $10k tops. My advice to the sellers is drop the asking price or do something positive to increase traffic. I think others have also made comments along these lines on the sale site.

Wow. Such negative comments about the Maldives. I've beeen twice and it felt like the closest to heaven I've ever been.

#5 People referring to sports teams as their own does make sense. Language has a lot to do with it. ‘Clubs’ play up the ‘our fans’ angle as they want the support both on and off the pitch.

This makes people feel part of it all as most are contributing financially (paying to see games, merchandise, etc) and investing their time in viewing and following the teams.

Why do they do this? Competition can be very exciting, an appreciation of skill/talent, a way to find common ground with peers or even family (my dad and I talk about football 50% of the time).

#9 so what are your views on entertainment in general? This business model is common across entertainment. Services like Netflix with their box sets for example hits the public in the same way. People pay and talk about it, invest their time in shows and then try to get others to watch them so they have someone to talk to about ‘their’ shows. May even get a t-shirt or pay to see the movie prequel.

I have barely spent a penny on football in the 25+ years I’ve followed it. Haven’t been to a game, purchased a kit, don’t pay for Sky but I do enjoy talking about it with friends and family. I do refer to a team as ‘my team’ because it’s the one I chose and stuck with. I see it as nothing more than a bit of fun.

Yes some people go over the top with it, but that’s just human nature. We’re all just passing time.

Saw this in London last year. It was enjoyable, but I did prefer the other show in the Mischief Theatre series called 'The Comedy About a Bank Robbery'. I was planning to eventually take the Mrs to see Magic Goes Wrong, but now COVID has caused everything to go wrong.

Back in 90s when I was a teenager, I figured out that laser printers were far more cost effective in the long run and have stuck with them since. My current Brother mono laser has had 2 toner replacements in about 5 years. I don't print massive amounts and find that the amount I need to print decreases each year so this is problem is going away regardless of people taking a stand. Print is dead! Send me a pdf, e-sign, etc, etc. It's all over for them.
