It did look to me as wurms aswell before I read the tubifex comment, even if it might be another prank, it would make perfect sense for an organism like that to be down there, it doesn't look scary or alien at all.

Yesish accident, no, it isn't just any accident, the police man should be tried for manslaughter. They should really learn what appropriate use of force means, he could have just grabbed him.
