Well I can't say this is a "pointless" video, get it?

The irritating thing with this kind of audition isn't that it's a sub-par singer.

The irritating thing is that no-one stopped her before she went on national TV and embarrased herself nationally.

You'd think that anyone that cares for her, like friends or family, would have said something!

The term 'tough love' comes to mind! A little old commodity that nowadays people seem to be, foolishly, affraid to administor.

Kept expecting "Big Bird" to come on set and throw Ed behind bars, where he clearly belongs!!!

She had better hope the insurance company don't see this video, because if they do, she will have to get a whole new insurance plan!!!

I eat out in the UK all the time and it seems to me that most of our restaurants are foreign run: Italian, Indian, Chinese, Japanese, French, Mexican, Spanish, Greek, Turkish, Argentinian, etc... So it seems a rather neive statement to say it all sucks!

I've also been to America quite a few times and the food there is exactly the same. The only difference is that in America you have to drive a lot further to find a good restaurant and all the meal portions are designed for plus size men who aren't opposed to the concept of a doggy-bag.

Does anyone remember watching "Monty Python and the Holy Grail"?

I am of course talking about the rabbit scene, where the most "foul, cruel, and bad-tempered rodent you ever set eyes on" decapitates Tim, one of Arthur's loyal men. The first time I saw this scene I nearly poo'd out my large intestine, I was laughing so hard.

On another interesting note: I read "60 seconds with Jean-Claud Van Dam" in the Metro the other day. Apparently he hasn't been able to get work in the past 3 years because action films are no longer being made. Initially our media was believed to be too violent and now we've over compensated and our media has become far too PC (parental choice), and well, boring!!

I do think this video is a little distasteful, and well, morbid. And while this is perhaps not everyone's cup of tea, I do find it hard to believe that as a video, be itself, it could cause serious psychological trauma!!!

What I would say in conclusion, is that if you don't like it, DON'T WATCH IT!!!

My local library is frequently packed. In fact there's never enough space for people to move around let alone motorised chairs. I don't think this 'concept' would work there.

Perhaps you could use them at fancy pre-paid cocktail parties: One press of a button and the drinks table comes to you?

When I was 11 I went fishing in Scotland. I remember there was a professional fisher there with full tackle. The funny thing was that me and my younger brother (9) were catching fish every 2 minutes with our £5 nets and he didn't catch a single fish all day. Later that evening we bumped into him in the pub and he nearly decked my dad for teasing him. Just goes to show, those who fish can be patient, but aren't always the most passive people.
