"Socialism is just not our way."

Nor ours. It's disingenuous of you to pretend that the USA is such a model of excellence as far as health care is concerned simply because all of your wealthy people can have instant access to it. Socio-economic problems are enormously complex issues and it is ludicrous to suggest that the excluded citizens are there simply because they are drug addicts or alcoholics. A country and its government is judged on how it manages its entire population, not just the wealthy; and the United States, which is so keen to expand its sphere of influence across the planet, should concentrate a bit closer to home first.

#31. Of course the Wiki piece is looking at the entire 300+ million Americans. That's the whole point. That's what happens when you examine the health care of an 'entire' country. And the conclusion that it clearly arrives at is that health care in the USA is of a lower standard than many other countries, and very expensive. The reasons your hospitals have a large number of Europeans and Asians is because they will always make space for wealthy people who want to use cash to queue-jump their own country's health care. Health care is big business.

"There is nothing in our Constitution that allows the Federal Government to mandate medical coverage for all. Why should a welfare person who pays nothing have the right to the same medical coverage as a person who pays into the medical insurance system?"

Look more closely at what you've just written and then ask this question: "Why should one of your citizens who through no fault of his own is unable to afford health insurance (perhaps he has to choose between insurance premiums and food) be excluded from proper health care?" That is the mark of a caring society, something which is clearly lacking in the USA. Perhaps your constitution needs amending.

Your naive and nauseatingly patriotic scramble for statistics is as amusing as it is misleading. Lets take a proper objective look at things shall we? From Wiki:

Life expectancy in the USA is 42nd in the world, below most developed nations and some developing nations. It is below the average life expectancy for the European Union. The World Health Organization (WHO), has ranked the U.S. health care system as the highest in cost, first in responsiveness, 37th in overall performance, and 72nd by overall level of health (among 191 member nations included in the study). The Commonwealth Fund ranked the United States last in the quality of health care among similar countries, and notes U.S. care costs the most.

The USA is the "only wealthy, industrialized nation that does not ensure that all citizens have coverage" (i.e., some kind of private or public health insurance)

So there you have it. As far as healthcare goes, you'll just about get by in the USA,.... as long as you have loadsa money. USA land of the healthy rich. Everyone else can go and fuck themselves.

#5. and purpose of this was to show what exactly?

It was to show that even though the USA is a pile of shite, with a corrupt political system, a crap healthcare system and is populated by redneck religious zealot morons, to a black from a backward country still set in the dark ages, it can seem quite impressive. :D

#20. That's odd, because I've heard of people logging on using their own photograph, so the 3D thing is clearly incorrect. And if you think about it, the only way the program would be able to distinguish a 3D image from a 2D one, would be if it had access to 2 web cams. I don't know of any laptops with 2 cams, do you? In any event, the word is that it takes so long to process the face, you'd be miles quicker typing in a password.

And incidentally, I have a foolproof method of bypassing any computer security system. It's called a screwdriver. :)

#17 - "I already have this type of software on my computer...its called smart logon on an Asus laptop. Recognizes only my face to logon"

Great security idea. I guess no-one would ever think of logging in by holding a photograph of your face up to the cam? :|
