Ever hear of something called "editing"? You take a bunch of footage, and then you go to make something comprehensive with it, and some of it, usually the greater part of it, ends up on the cutting room floor.

supra11000, I agree, and they cut out a lot of the "scratches" where the cue ball follows the other into the pocket. But a couple of them were quite tricky, like the one where the cue follows the eight around the table, arriving just in time to knock it in. Also, where he replaces the ball on top of the beer bottle with another ball. I wouldn't have the patience to even get it once, and if I did, I'd no doubt stop there.

I'd have to see it in person and up close to believe it. The air would make it spin, but as it's striking the side of the tape obliquely, I'd think that removing one's hand would simply cause the tape to be propelled away from the air stream.

Anybody can do it? I'd like to see you try, dvh. I guarantee you that you could not produce five seconds of 3D animation seen here, let alone five minutes. I would be entirely surprised if the fella who created this didn't commit many months of his time in its creation, if not much longer, and that doesn't include the years spent learning _how_. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about in that regard.

I do agree, though, that writing a clever story is not this artist's long suit.

Wow. Don't like the war? Get in line with the majority of the citizens in the US. But to take a single incident, of which you know nothing other than what a single camera can tell you, and extrapolate that Americans should die from it is simply reckless, not to mention malignant. Even from what we can see from this single camera, we can tell that the little car zipped out from around a bigger car, and got hit by a slow moving tank. The accident certainly wasn't the tank driver's fault, and I doubt his or her orders would include getting out of the tank and waiting for a police officer to take a report. Get a clue. Hate America all you want, but at least try to be rational about it--god knows that's still an easy route to take.

Your brain doesn't trick you--it's not like something weird is going on with your brain--the camera is not perpendicular to the back wall, but the back wall has been designed to seem as though it is. The person on the left is actually much further back and down than the one one on the right--if something is closer to the camera, it looks much larger than the same thing in the distance.

There is one thing in here that appears to trick the brain, though, and that is the way the ball appears to slow down just after leaving the girls' hands. It looks like it slows down. The point of view combined with the distorted dimensions of the back wall makes the distance seem short, while the actual trip is long (relatively). Because the ball seems to hang in the air an unnatural length of time, our brains say, the ball slowed down.

Dis guy's farking 'tard! But gosh, he made this cool video, so I'm sure that makes it ok in his mind.
