She's surprised her friend will be there in two minutes, implying that this thing is faster than a boat. I'll call BS on that one.

Is anyone else having issues with the new player? For two days it worked fine but now I get error messages on every video no matter which browser I use.
Also, the "More" link on the menu bar simply takes me back to "Home".

Agreed #2. SED rip-off!! And very amateur level at that, letting a kid stick fire into a pile of volatile chemicals.
Just an overall sad production and a good example of trying to ride coattails.

Sorry, this guy is still an idiot. Playing around in a car on public streets as if there aren't enough hazards. What if there had been an accident from another car trying to stop him or someone running into traffic to help?

I would have upvoted you twice if I could.

Hate these armchair critics that read a few quotes from an author and then post commentary as if it's oh-so-deep revelation.

"Victory Unintentional" also has a situation which reveals robot attitude toward non-humans.

You should read the man's books before you comment on any shortcomings. Asimov addressed this issue in several stories, most noticeably in "That Thou Art Mindful of Him".
In less specific but still relevant manner in "The Bicentennial Man" and "Liar".

#1. Discipline missing indeed. You can tell by the last girl's attitude that she has no respect for her parents; although that's not her fault, it's theirs.
As for the first two, what kind of parent gives a 12 year old kid a $500 phone and allows them to use social media without monitoring them?
I'd put 80% of the blame on the parents who aren't teaching their kids basic social skills.

Edit that - 95%.

Look at the slight discoloration of the direct background of the spirals compared to the full background and the small white markings on the midpoints. Each coil is connected to a sleeve behind the other. When one coil is pulled it's coming out of the sleeve behind the other. The small white markings are where tiny paper strips provide for the pull. Check the first 'pull' where movement of the endpoint is more apparent.

#(removed comment) - So I guess building roadblocks and throwing petrol bombs on indiscriminate cars is just kids being kids. You pick up a weapon and attack someone just to make a point you need to be prepared to pay. No tears here.

Can you say "Melting Pot"? Forget for a minute it's a commercial, it's a well done piece and a nice idea.

Haven't had a Coke in years but I think I'll go get a couple of liters just to tick off the knee-jerk bigots here.

#15 - Sizzlik

12 is a label to note order, not "time". You can change the numbers on a clock to names like Fred, George, Ben,...anything you want.
The labels we use for time (1 o'clock, 2 o'clock,..) don't mean anything and have no relation to where the sun is. Now you go to work at 08:00; maybe with a new system where everyone uses the same "clock" you go to work at 15:00. It's still morning, the sun just rose; that period of the day just has a different label (15:00 for everyone rather than 08:00 just for you). People on the other side of the earth go to bed at 15:00 as you're getting up. Maybe I live in Hawaii so I go to bed as the sun goes down at at 10:00. The 'name' of the time doesn't matter so why not have everyone use the same 'names'?

If you change your name to Belvedere you are still the same person who was labeled Sizzlik, you just have a new label. Same with the hours on a clock.

+10 23. jamesd commented 12 years ago on video The Popinator

It's a hoax, sort of. It does fire popcorn but it's not voice activated so it cannot "aim". May just be a matter of time, though.

http://abclocal.go.com/kgo/story?section=news/entertainment&id=8818328

It turns out the Popinator, an automatic popcorn device that's taken the internet by storm, is a hoax.
"The Popinator is a fully automated voice activated popcorn launching machine that is triggered by the word pop," said an electronic engineer for Thinkmodo.
However that's not really true. It's all just a guerilla marketing campaign for a popcorn company.
The co-founders of Thinkmodo dreamed up the gadget which actually fires popcorn not by voice command, but remote control. Catching the kernels required repeated takes for the video.
