@5 One word: presentation. The way you present your self is key. And if you are a bit shy, then the only way is to practise, practise and practise your prsesentation. If you do not know how you should present your self, then take courses about it or read books and practise. If you look like a male model that is usually a plus, but not a requirement. Normal or average looking people can be great with other people if they know how to present themselves "the right way".

It's not about how difficult this tune is to play. It's about what the guy does with the sound. He has the basic melody and then messing around with that melody. It's about the feel what you get when you play, not to show off how agile fingers you have.

This got nothing to do with the fact that it is an Xbox DVD drive. The same thing will happen with almost any optical drive spinnig fast enough.
Now, because I'm not a physicist I cannot give you a definite answer as to why this thing happens but I think it has got something to do with the Newton's Laws of Motion (feel free to correct me if I'm wrong if you know better).
Even though if I'm wrong with the Newton law thing you can easily test this in real life.
Take, for example, one 52x cd drive and attach it to a PC. Then copy something from the CD to the computer's hard drive. Turn the drive while the CD spins at full speed. Congratulations. You got a scratched CD. You can further test this with a front wheel of you bike or with something similar. Take the wheel it and hold it with both hands from the center axel and spin the wheel. Try to turn the wheel. You can actually feel the wheel to resist your attempts to turn the wheel while it spins (whoa it almost rhymes).
