In every car manufacturer factory they do this... The only difference in Ferrari for example is that you do not have an assembly line, and that the guy works a full-day per each car to do the same job instead of a few minutes in a factory.

#13, #15: The standard of the age was 16fps (frames per second). Currently we are watching at 24-25 fps. That is the reason that an old move shot at 16fps when played at 24fps create the illusion of "fast-forward". I think that the reason for the lack of the fast-forward effect is that the clip was processed to compensate for the difference. This basically requires some kind of interpolating techniques, but for simplicity think of it as a kind of "re-recording".

I've held a bat in my hand when I was a child, and I can tell you I've never felt before or since a softer thing in my life. The fur is simply so soft that you don't feel it at all (you almost feel only skin against your palms). It's a sensorial drunkednes: eyes tell you "look, fur!" and your fingers tell you "feel, skin and bones!".

Amazing animals, and a blessing around as pest-control.

It's sad to see the guy handle those tiles so careless, considering the fact that bats are so fragile and can get easily hurt (broken arm/wing bone, etc)...

As a person growing up behind the courtain, I can tell you this:

1. Queues were common, so nothing out of the ordinary; I was doing something simmilar almost daily as a kid, and at least this one is during a sunny day... as opposed to a rainy night
2. First time it felt like a bite and a gulp of pure freedom
3. I can guarantee almost nobody left dissapointed (the first time)
4. That queue doesn't even look that scary (if you can imagine that)

No matter what we (ex-communists) say, people who didn't experience the socialist "golden age" cannot REALLY understand what was going in those people's minds. I hope you realize how lucky you westerners are, to be born just a few hundred miles to the west.
