I just watched the show and it was amazing. This simulator was built by gadget show team with various available to buy gadgets except the omni-directional treadmill which is one of a kind. The experience was so real that even the former SAS (British special forces) soldier with years of real battle experience (which btw was consultant in Battlefield 3) thought he was in real battle and began to move around very slowly and cautiously, and the paintball guns (12 of them surrounding the player) really giving the player a real scary situations because it hurts to get shot so they moved tactically and not just rambo style. They could even drag injured fellow soldiers by sticking out a hand and grabbing him.
I thing with a little more modifications this could be a fantastic fps simulator.
