Not a big Moore fan myself and was bored/cringing at his last attempt at overriding everyone elses' opinions with his own in assumption of his audience ignorance and treating them like a fucking 5 year old (no offense to 5 year olds). I'm pro-his political leaning (to a certain extent) but anti-Moore, in everything else.

This cartoon was part of his 'lets hope they don't think about it' tactics where, in Bowling For Columbine, he had just edited his interview with Trey Parker and Matt Stone (South Park creators, for perspective) about their views on gun control, etc. Then he followed that up with this cartoon, pretty much making the ignorant (which was most likely everyone until the credits rolled and/or Stone and Parker blew the whistle) think that they had made this little animation as it seems to loosely replicate their humour and animation style.

Needless to say, he pissed them off. Probably two of the last people in the media world you'd want to get on the wrong side of.

The band is Explosions In The Sky

'Explosions In The Sky' - 'Have You Passed Through This Night' from the 2001 album 'Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell The Truth Shall Live Forever'. Them as a band are worth checking out. One of my fave bands!

Some of those responses seemed to be scarily genuine for it to be scripted. Say there were about 50 interviews there out of probably a few hundred and I'm sure you'll find the same type of responses in other countries. Just nice to point it out in the US first.

Don't know why they refer to the Darwin Awards since most of these videos are ancient and the worst ones were definitely not stupid enough to be candidates as they didn't die. Maybe the truck being hit by the loco or the last one would be the best candidates but still, a shameless way to plug your compilation! Darwin awards must mean 'death' hence the link to Wiki's Darwin Awards explanation and to quote: "do a service to Humanity by removing themselves from the Gene pool". Not nearly!

If a video is fake, it doesn't feel as satisfying to watch knowing that someone has contrived and made their vision come to life. I detest videos which try to emulate real-life reactions but I also know how annoying it is for every second comment to point this out. My opinion is this video is fake but well done. Just like the hammer-throwing video that everyone seems to wank over though brutally crap compression makes this harder to analyse.

That was pointless and boring. Were they going for a jog or something? Barely any freefrunning at all in that video. Just running, balancing and shoes! Parkour videos are only interesting to watch if they have something unique, edgy and usually quite acrobatic. I've seen plenty of predominantly or completely male freerunning videos which have also been highly futile and boring to watch just because they lack any genuine skills.

Maybe those girls consider themselves freerunners but this video is only interesting to them, their peers and probably their kids.
