Great speech! I just hope everyone got the message.
Tv producers who keep on making shows like Jersey whore, kardashitian, and to those who keep on watching them, please stop making crappy shows! ;)

I grew up watching Mr.Rogers as a young girl and it was one of the best shows on PBS! This incredible man taught us lessons in life. He taught us how to make things, dress ourselves, how to be a great neighbor and a good friend. This man was truly in inspiration to ALL of us generations. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten. I am expecting my first child in April around my birthday and I can't wait till it too (we don't know if boy or girl yet) get's to watch and learn from such an amazing man! <3 <3

We need more people like Fred Rogers. He would be horrified to see the depths to which TV has sunk in such a short time.

#5 I agree we need more people like Fred Rogers. We have all said, at one time or another, "Someone should do something about that." Not many of us take the next step, as Fred Rogers did, and follow that with, "That someone is ME."
