What is that checkpoint anyways? Border control? Just curious what kinda setting would require a guard to look through your car windows, which doesn't involve high risk areas like military bases, national borders, or hospitals maybe. It's not normal here in Norway, so i'm just curious.

#4 It's a training checkpoint, i.e. the U.S. government is training the citizens to get used to the marshal law, so that when the civil war brakes out the army can quickly round up all the dissidents and put them away into FEMA concentration camps with minimal disturbance in the brainwashed masses. Europeans were successfully disarmed, and trained to be afraid of guns, so there will be no need to use extreme force to enact any new form of government.

If I remember correctly #9 is from Russia so he knows a little bit about a Government disarming the populace and controlling them through fear and intimidation. His comment hits close to the mark I think.
