Everytime you are about to leave some place, you will find a reason not to...

Weird, that we have to lift off from the surface to get to the understanding...

What a privilege to be alive at this time to see the Earth from space and to feel yourself at the cusp of a huge leap in human evolution and understanding.

Fabulous video. To anyone wondering whether it's worth waiting for 433MB I can tell you it most certainly is. Watch it full screen for maximum impact.

If we went to the moon, which i dont believe we did. Why did we stay away from it for 44 years now (and counting). Why did they scrap the Apollo space ships and replaced it with ships with much less capacity. I look forward to the first moon landing. Watch some original moon footage and see for yourself.

#4 you should be ashamed of yourself!
Let me answer your questions:
1. We stayed away because there is nothing there. What's the point of sending people there over and over?
2. They stopped using the Apollo space ships because they did not need them to go such a little distance (to the ISS, lower orbit and satellites). You would,t use a Boeing 747 to get across the street would you?
3. See for myself what? That people are getting dumber and dumber each day? Not recognizing the achievements of the people before us? I suggest you watch them again without the conspiracy goggles!

people worry about their own future, so they kill the future of all of them.

Amazing video, just caught it a few hours back on Vimeo. The implications of this stretch far beyond space-missions, they stretch into our ethics.

What a breathtaking scene 16:46 where you can see the atmosphere, colors of galaxy with endless stars, the lightning and night cycle on earth. Just beautiful

Some people forget, we all breath the same air. I hope they get to see video's like this, and understand our place on this planet, and our place in the universe.

Beautiful doesn't cut it, I long for the day when humanity can be called a single race with a single goal. When the Earth will start to benefit from us rather than the opposite. When evolution will push us as humans, along with all flora and fauna species, and the planet itself, into the future.

#5 I look at a lot of Neil deGrasse videos, i think he is awesome! He has the right spirit to move forward in science! Very interesting and intellectual thoughts about our beeing and progress. I've learned a lot from him.

#6 I started reseaching about the moon landings because i was born in 1985 and was not part of the moon landing hype, so I thought it was really awesome and wanted to know more. I thought the conspiracy people was idiots before I started researching. When I saw the original moon landing video with Armstrong and Aldrin, I thought it looked a bit weird, but I thought that maybe it's because of the atmosphere. I kept looking for more interesting facts, the more I read, the more I doubt it. It ended after a few days with me beeing one of the idiots.

#16 Yep it is sad to think that there are people living on this planet that are actually more stupid than the people who were living here two hundred years ago. Thank goodness they are in the minority and thank goodness the rest of us are here to ridicule them. Amazing to think that 52 years ago we didn't have a photograph of the planet we live on. (i)
