Agreed, especially in other countries (I am from Bulgaria). I like the idea of the dimming lights. But I don't think they will be implemented soon. First will be the main roads then eventually smaller roads . The roads, from my town to rest of the country, don't even have lights, let alone to have for that . Do you know how hard it is to drive at night through the holes without lights

Maybe possible in a place like the Netherlands where the wealth to population ratio is high, but completely impractical and a waste of resources in most of the world.
Like woodhatch said, a lot of places have a hard enough time just keeping up with necessary with road repairs.

I think the idea is cool, but like mentioned by others, probably too costly...the appearance of ice crystals on the road during below 0 degrees Celsius temperatures is not necessary as all cars have an outside temperature reading now and also, just because the temperature is low does not mean roads are slippery. But yeah MindTrick, it would be interesting to know whether this was implemented.
