So how long do you wait after that to let your kids go back swimming, 1 hour or what ?!?
I do not think I would help a carnivorous and quite large fish back into the water my kids were swimming in.
The seagulls are the ones who were cheated here from a meal of a fish wanting to beach itself for reasons unknown.
Those fish are NOT friends.......

I see no reason to allow a harmful predator to live when it gets so close to civilization.
Some people would say that sharks should be allowed to live and not hunted to extinction due to the fact we may someday find a chemical or something else from said creature that can help mankind in its struggles.
I say the same dangerous meat eating predator could also kill or endanger a human who has the potential help mankind, so I guess it just boils down to personal preference.
I choose to kill the predator that gets near my home or other area close that could get people hurt.
I was not at all surprised to see that some people are not only tree huggers but shark huggers too, good luck with that. -grin-

#10 And sharks have been longer on this planet then we have. Now humans like you decide that they are not worth being saved. I grew up at the coast and we never had a promlem with sharks. Only since humans have been fishing the oceans empty sharks have to look for new food suplies and hunting grounds. Compare the number of shark attacks with the amount of fish being caught by humanity. Of course you could now say if they can't survive then let them die. The thing they can not adapt an we can. We know it better but do not act to the state of our knowledge.
