hehe. yeah.. I don't miss those days. for me they ended only around 2 years ago when my flat was finally 'bradband-ready'. till then I spent most of my life on 56k while to listening to people on tv say how good broadband is. better late then never though. speaking of which, how much does everyone pay?

Portugal=24mbit adsl = around 40$ a month, uncapped traffic also.

I remember those days, and good riddance to them!

Comcast doesn't ever have a steady up and down stream for me, they always seem to be able to slow me down some way.

yeah a friend of mine was still on aol 56k dialup until about 3 months ago. 15/5 mbit uncapped + digital premium(hbo, showtime, etc..) cable = $115. thinking on getting basic cable. it should be around $65-$70 then.

I pay around 120 dollar here in Belgium for a capped line 5gig upload 25 gig download... and i have the best line you can get in belgium special gaming line... how fucked up is Belgium! :D

in the UK I pay 60 dollar for 5mb/512kb uncapped per month. expensive and $hit

Here in Germany I have a 6 mbit adsl uncapped for 14 € a month, that's about 22 $.

Australia is a long way behind. 1.5Mb ADSL, 20GB limit + 20GB off peak, 80 Australian dollars (€47) a month. Average weekly income A$800 (€470).

In NL we get glassfiber soon (in our place at least), 35-50 Mbit/s uncapped at 40-50 €/month

Dial Up Modems are still a sad reality in India. You know something? Blazing fast internet speeds here are just 512 kbps lines. Nothing compared to global speeds.
