Question like always is how the poor will get it. A lot of these people developing products want ridiculous amounts of money, so they get rich by selling it. Like this other guy who is selling water purifiers for as much as those people earn in a year.
Children play with dirt cause they can afford dirt. When you father earns 30 Dollars a month, that is what you and your 5 brother get to play with. I wonder if it wouldn't be cheaper to send real trash (i.e. the adidas balls we throw away, but are still perfectly fine) to Africa.
Every story has two sides, sadly, and some of those villains in videos are actually in a desperate position and some of those do-goders are just selfish and greedy. Thank god it's not all...

#13 totally Agree. This ball is priced $39.50 according to wikipedia (with the idea you get one and one gets donated)

I can't really imagine how this spherical piece of crocks sh.t can cost $20 to make. So here is the situation you will never buy it because it is complete rubbish and poor children wouldn't buy it because they cant. So how can we sell the expensive junk... ask the rich to buy it for the poor, the rich wouldn't care about $20 and the poor will get it free....

#13 #14 #15 In your haste to revile the "rich" you have missed the whole intention of the One World Futbol Project. These balls are not meant to be sold to poor kids in poor countries, they are intended to be purchased by companies or individuals just like you and me and then given to organizations that distribute them around the world. I see on the Wiki link that Chevy donated one and a half million balls.
One World Futbol Project sells the One World Futbol directly to institutions, companies and non-profit organizations, as well as to individual consumers through a “Buy One Give One” model. For every ball bought by individuals at retail, the company donates a second ball to organizations working with disadvantaged communities around the world. One World Futbol Project distributes balls through a growing network of organizations serving youth in harsh environments around the world, including refugee camps, conflict zones, disaster areas, inner cities, and other disadvantaged communities. You can even opt to have the ball you bought be donated too if you have no need for the ball.
This is a great organization which should be a model for other charitable groups.
