This guy really did his homework before he attemted this. Too bad it didn't go perfectly, but I bet he learned enough to make it work correctly the next time.

I agree #1, but the question I have is this...when attempting something like this do you have to get autherization from the FAA or local governments to do this? I mean the possibility of hitting an aircraft is definetly a real chance. Loved the planes video feed. Good job.

Very cool. Although why he wouldn't wait for a clear day is beyond me.

#5 I expect that would be the fusheye lense effect from the camera

Around 2:40 you can see that the lens cannot decide, the earth gets "bent", why is that?

#7 take a look at this picture, depicting a fish-eye lens effect: http://farm9.staticflickr.com/8157/7651954518_3cffd6d6bb_z.jpg

You can see that one building is bent one way, the other building is bent the other way. This is because they're on opposite sides of the center of the lens. If you move the camera so that the buildings are on the same side compared to the center of the image, they will be bent in the same way (one more than the other). I hope this makes sense...

#7 This occurs because he uploaded the video to youtube and checked a feature that says 'stop jitters' (or something like that). This causes videos to be odd like that. Here is a video of my playing guitar with the same feature checked. You will see how odd things look in the background: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v6Sp41NoZp0
