That's what happens when all the advancements and research go into making deeper and deeper wholes to quench our thirst for oil, instead of making the process safer or finding alternatives.
I'll keep this in mind when I hear BP tell us the proposed mega oil rigs in Alaska or whatever are totally not like the old ones in the gulf of mexico...

oil down there is under alot of pressure. they pomp down mud while drilling to keep pressure on so the oils stays down. when they noticed it starting to spray up. they realize the pressure of the oil is bigger then what they pomp down there, and they trying to do something but its already to late.

The machine, making it able to hold the drill, and replace it with the master lock, refused at the most important monent. Double bad luck that day
